Picnic Table

 Adrian came home from church, made a table with no adult help. Was done by 3:30. Then he grilled dinner on the blackstone.  What a kid!  So proud of him.

Belt

 Adrian made himself a new belt!  It's now his everyday belt.  

This is the cooperation I got when I tried to get him to pose.  Oh well. The belt is really awesome. 

4-H Bee hives

 We had such a good time building bee hives in 4H (Thank you C and E!) 

Maple

 I took no pictures of the 4H meeting that Adrian led, but did take a pic of the set up. Adrian shared his sugaring experience and had the kids play hot and cold to find all the trees he tapped to collect sap.  We had some boiling down they could experience.  Then they made pancake mix to take home and he made pancakes on the blackstone at the meeting for all to enjoy with syrup.  Love seeing him blossom as a leader.

We've tapped trees many, many years and to be honest, it's not my favorite activity. Adrian said, "Mom, we really need to tap trees this year because Anna-Kate is old enough to help and she will be ready to really experience it."  SURE.  The two of them tapped a few. 

Homemade Pinatas and Homemade Chocolates

 Homemade Pinatas stuffed with Homemade Chocolates was the theme of our 4-H club meetings for the last two meetings.  Anna-Kate made a heart, Audra made an avocado and Adrian made a chevy sign.  Pinatas are expensive and they aren't too hard to make! I was working so hard keeping things flowing that I hardly took pictures.

 My girl always goes big or not at all.  January brought many, many crocheted cowls.  And I'm thrilled with mine!

Kids' Night!

 I got to be a wrapper at the 2nd annual Kids' Night at the thrift shop.  Kids shop for 50% off, get hot cocoa and sweets, meet Santa and get their presents wrapped.  I love it. 

Merry Making

 Every year, in partnership with our Tree Farm neighbors, our 4-H club creates dozens of centerpieces and delivers them to helpers and people who need cheering.

My big kids worked so hard to collect what we needed.

Our annual winter gear swap was a smashing success.  We did this for a solid week. It was a huge commitment, but a great way for community to support community. 

We went to the annual ornament swap and Audra won the door prize arrangement for the 2nd year in a row. 

Merry Reindeer

Adrian invited Audra to do a woodworking project.  Not only did this mama's heart soar that they decided to work together, but I also love the outcome. 

Halloween Pumpkins 2024

 Halloween Pumpkins 2024...a week and a half after we carved them, slightly rotten, shrunk in size, but still festive. Traditional smiling faces and a highlander. 

County Fair 2024

 Late to the update, but the kids had another successful year at the fair.  As 4Hers, our time is so very packed with all our responsibilities.  They rise to the challenges and work so hard at the fair.  Highlight is Audra got best in show for her dress.

Their entries and ribbons, a job well done.

4H Summer Virtual Learning

 We've been participating in years of virtual learning with 4H and we have a special love for summer virtual learning.  We have been able to take our screens to my dad's so we never have to miss a class in the multi class series.  

This summer all three did Whimsical Watercolors. Adrian and Audra did Fundamentals of Animal Science.  Anna-Kate did Once Upon a Time and Virtual Touch Tank. Audra did Water Ecology and taught for the first time in the crafty Festive Holidays in July class. 

Today is the last day of summer learning and all three loved their classes.
