The Mad Dash

 

I will never get tired of seeing the sprint to the water after a hot day on land. Summer nights are special. 

Vintage drafting table

 One of Adrian's waving pals delivered a marvelous gift to him. A vintage drafting table.  The base is original, the top has been fixed up.  

Adrian promptly began using it for a new diorama. He made a Northern NY farm. Someday he's going to be one of the little old men setting up traveling train displays at fairs. 

Sign Making

 Adrian had an idea to make a sign for the farmer who has his animals here.  He sourced the wood, painted it and put a protective coat over it. Lastly, he hung it.  

I just think this is a pretty neat thing for a 13 year old to do with his time.

Heat

The heat in Maine is brutal.  Morning swim and nighttime swim today and probably tomorrow too. 

Weekend joys

 

We had a wonderful time selling flowers. We made enough money to take dad to DQ for father's day.

I had a last minute lunch party with friends.

We had lots of farm and garden time. (In a mama made dress above AND below too!)

Father's Day reminds us how thankful we are to have this hardworking man on our side.

New Baby

 

Left for a physics class and to drop off a pile of cat mats I made for the cat rescue.  Came back to this calf! Hereford/Highlander cross. 

(And Princess Penelope likes to be front and center.)

Science Experiment Extravaganza Take 3

 The third in the series, Science Experiment Extravaganza. It's one of my fave activities.  Each kid brings an experiment to show the others.  I love seeing what they come up with.
