So here goes.
Granola Bars
Granola Bars-an original jackie lipsky fanfare
2/3 C. melted butter
1/2 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla
1 C. whole wheat flour
1 C. wheat bran
1/4 C. flax seed meal
2 1/2 C. oats
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips
3/4 cups nuts
Mix the wet ingredients. Add dry. Pop in a greased 13x9 pan. I use wax paper and my pastry scraper to pack down super hard hard. Bake 325 for 20 minutes. Pack down hard with the wax paper and pastry scraper routine. Let cool. I like to put them outside to get really cold in the winter before cutting. Cut into bars and try not to indulge too much. We like to pop them in the freezer and take them out for lunch one at a time.

ReplyDeleteJust in case you would like to try new recipes. We have to make ours nut free due to my son's allergy but they are so versatile. I think I may add dried cranberries to my next batch. YUM! Looking through your recipes since I am new to your blog and pinning some too. Thanks!
