Making baby food is much easier than you think. Plus you can't beat the price.
Steam, boil or roast to soften the good stuff. Puree in a food processor, mixer, blender or the kitchen aid fruit/vegetable strainer attachment. Freeze in ice cube trays and pop into a ziplock to store once frozen. I used the goodies we grew to freeze over 500 oz. for our little guy.
We also made tons and I snuck into all kinds of things (with and without the hubby's knowledge). My favorite is adding sweet potato/ carrot puree to meatloaf and tomato sauce - haven't had any complaints yet as you totally can't tell. The Sneaky Chef has tons of ideas.
