Apple Bars

Here's another menu item that's in my rotation for a healthy snack for my little one. 
Or my husband likes to add a scoop of ice cream and top that with drizzled apple butter.

1/4 cup butter

Posted by Picasa1/3 cup applesauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
pinch nutmeg
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup white flour
2 1/2 cups of peeled and diced apples

Cream Butter, applesauce, brown sugar.  Add egg.  Add dry ingredients, mixing well.  Add apples.  Spread in greased 9x9 pan.  Bake 350 for 40-45 minutes.
