I clipped this recipe from Real Simple. My husband found it and made it. It's soooo good! It's pretty much like a decadent brownie. I recommend!
Flourless Chocolate Cake
1 cup butter
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup heavy cream
8 oz chopped bittersweet chocolate
5 eggs
1 cup sugar
Directions
- Heat oven to 350° F. Grease a 9-inch springform pan and dust with cocoa powder.
- In a medium saucepan, heat the butter with heavy cream over medium-low heat until the butter is melted. Add the chocolate and stir until melted and smooth; remove from heat.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, and cocoa powder. Whisk in the chocolate mixture.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and bake until puffed and set, 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 1 hour. Run a knife around the edge of the cake before unmolding.
- Top with whipped cream
That looks SO good!

ReplyDeleteGotta try it for my DIL!
ReplyDeleteI don't see any use for the 1/2 cup sour cream/yogurt in the directions, am I missing something? !

ReplyDeleteI'm super sorry! Good catch though! You don't need it. I used that to make some sort of topping, but I forgot to measure so I just skipped adding the recipe for that, but forgot to delete it. I hope I didn't mess up your baking, sorry!
