Wild Strawberries
The chopping of the hay marks an end to our wild strawberry foraging. I must say, searching for those sweet morsels was a perfect way to soak in an hour of goodness with my littles. They grew in such abundance that we even were able to bring some in. Until next year, sweet berries...

Could you cultivate any? Move some to a bed or pot?
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing sweeter than field berries. Cultivated ones just do not compare!! My grandfather used to go out and pick buckets of them in the fields near his home, I can't even fathom that much patience for such tiny little fruit!
